Differences between gas analyzers and gas detectors
1. Differences in instrument structure
The gas detector has a relatively simple structure, which only includes the probe (sensor) and sensor signal conversion circuit. The gas analyzer is not only equipped with a probe (sensor) inside, but also a complete gas path system, which introduces the sample gas into the instrument and then leads out the complete gas path system for venting or recycling.
2. Different detection methods
The gas detection alarm instrument uses a probe to directly expose it to the tested air or sample gas environment for detection. The gas analyzer introduces the measured gas (sample gas) into the instrument through a special method for measurement, and then leads it out for venting.
3. Different control methods for measurement conditions
The gas detection alarm device does not have the adjustment and control part for the technical conditions of the sample gas process, and it also completely disregards the environmental conditions where the sample gas exists and directly detects it.
The gas analyzer is equipped with a complete set of gas path systems and external supporting equipment, forming a relatively complete chemical process flow. The gas analyzer adjusts and controls the working conditions of the sample gas in all aspects to achieve the normal and stable operation of the sensor. This is the guarantee that the gas analyzer can obtain accurate measurement data.
4. Different operating methods are used to complete the entire measurement process
When using a gas detection alarm, simply place the instrument in the tested atmosphere and the instrument can display numerical values. The gas analyzer must carefully introduce the sample gas into the instrument, and then strictly adjust the process technical conditions, such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc. Only when the operator adjusts the instrument until a stable chemical process is achieved can accurate measurement data be obtained. The data obtained before this is incorrect and must be discarded.
5. Different ways of eliminating Confounding are considered in the detection process
The gas detection alarm device directly places the sensor in the ambient atmosphere for measurement. In the design of the instrument structure and in the actual use of the detection process, it does not consider whether there are factors that interfere with the measurement in the ambient atmosphere, and it does not have the design ability to eliminate various Confounding. When designing, selecting, and using gas analyzers for testing, it is necessary to fully consider various internal and external factors that affect the measurement, and carefully eliminate them one by one to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the detection data. Otherwise, inappropriately ignoring a certain influencing factor is not allowed and unacceptable for testing.
6. Different accuracy of data
Gas detectors can only provide qualitative analysis results and relatively rough quantitative analysis data. The data displayed by this instrument cannot withstand scrutiny and cannot be subjected to error analysis (as only when the analysis data deviates from the true value can "error" be discussed). Therefore, it cannot be used as accurate analysis data to determine (determine) important process improvement and adjustment measures. The gas analyzer is a strict measuring instrument that can provide very accurate data when conducting quantitative analysis. This data can be used as a basis for gas production and * * production improvement and improvement, to guide and carry out production management, quality management, and enterprise management. Even so, this type of data can serve as an important basis for judicial and criminal investigation work, using it to fight lawsuits and determine the boundaries between right and wrong.
