Differences in the verification, calibration, calibration, and calibration of gas detectors

Gas detectors help factories solve gas safety issues in industrial production processes. But it is also a precision instrument that needs to be correctly understood and used in order to play its due role. But in reality, when we use gas detectors, we may fall into some misconceptions, such as thinking that verification, calibration, calibration, and verification are the same. In fact, this is a wrong understanding. So what are the specific differences between gas detector verification, calibration, calibration, and verification?

Differences in gas detector verification, calibration, calibration, and calibration:

1. Calibration

The operation of compensating for instrument system errors by measuring the deviation of the standard, thereby improving the accuracy (precision) of the instrument or system. Calibration is generally used for high-precision instruments.

2. Verification

The activity of determining through experiments whether the indication error of measuring instruments meets the requirements according to the national metrological verification regulations. The scope of verification is a mandatory verification of measuring instruments specified in China's Metrology Law.

3. Calibration

According to relevant calibration standards, the activity of determining the indication value of measuring instruments through experiments. Usually, the error of the measured instrument relative to the standard is measured by comparing it with a high-precision standard, in order to obtain the corrected value of the indicated value of the measured instrument. Calibration is mainly used for measuring instruments that are not subject to mandatory verification.

4. Verification

When there are no relevant verification regulations or calibration specifications, it is a method of implementing quantity value transfer traceability according to the method developed by the organization itself. Mainly used for measuring instruments or measuring instruments with relatively low accuracy.

The main differences in the calibration, verification, calibration, and calibration of gas detectors are as follows:

Calibration is a dynamic process that involves reviewing the accuracy of testing equipment during measurement and promptly eliminating errors.

Secondly, verification, calibration, and verification are static measurement processes that are carried out periodically.

The general selection methods for verification, verification, and calibration:

1. Belongs to the national mandatory inspection catalog and is submitted for inspection;

2. If there is JJG or JJF outside the national mandatory verification catalog, it can be submitted for inspection/calibration, or if the enterprise has standard equipment, instruments, and calibration methods, it can be self calibrated;

3. If there is no JJG or JJF, self verify.
