Do you know the difference between gas analyzers and gas detectors?
Although there is only a two word difference between gas detector and gas analysis, there are many differences in actual pronunciation. Gas detector is a gas concentration detection instrument, while analyzer belongs to gas analysis instrument, and there are also many types of these two instruments. In order to help everyone better distinguish between gas detector and gas analyzer, today we will introduce the differences between them.
Difference between gas detector and gas analyzer
1. Differences in instrument structure:
The structure of a gas detector usually only includes a detection probe (sensor) and a sensor signal conversion circuit, making it a relatively simple instrument. The internal of the gas analyzer is not only equipped with probes (sensors), but also has a complete set of gas path systems, which can introduce sample gas into the instrument, release it after sampling, or recycle it.
2. Differences in detection methods:
The detection method of gas detector is to directly detect various gases exposed to the air or sample gas environment through the probe part. The detection method of gas analyzer is to introduce the measured gas into the instrument through a special method for measurement, and then release it outside the instrument after the measurement is completed.
3. Differences in control methods for measuring conditions:
The gas detector does not involve the adjustment and control of the sample gas process technology conditions during use, and it does not need to consider the environmental conditions of the sample gas during the detection process. It can directly detect the gas. The complete set of gas path system and external supporting equipment inside the gas analyzer form a relatively complete chemical process flow. The gas analyzer can adjust and control the working conditions of the sample gas in all aspects, so that the sensor can achieve normal and stable operation. This is also the main reason why the gas analyzer can accurately obtain measurement data.
It can be seen that there is a significant difference between gas detectors and gas analyzers. Before use, one should clarify their own usage requirements and then choose the instrument that is suitable for their own use.
