Magnetic field:
-A magnet in motion,
-Motor from a running tumble dryer,
-Electricity meter (quite high actually),
-Dimmer: the field intensity changes as you adjust the dimmer.
Electric field:
-socket or light switch, live extension cables.
I guess this does the same as those non-Contact Voltage Detectors that you use for safety when doing electrical work.
It seems somewhat less sensitive than my dedicated voltage detector though. OTOH it has a measurement (as opposed to just a beep)
