Fields of Application for Stereomicroscopes
Stereomicroscopes, also known as entity microscopes, stereo microscopes, or operating and dissecting microscopes, deliver upright three-dimensional images. They are easy to operate, with a typical magnification range of 7×–42× and a maximum magnification of 180×. Stereomicroscopes have a wide range of applications, and their main uses are listed below:
① Research in zoology, botany, entomology, histology, mineralogy, archaeology, geology, dermatology and other disciplines.
② In the textile industry: inspection of raw materials and cotton & wool fabrics.
③ In the electronics industry: serving as an operation tool for transistor spot welding, inspection and other operations.
④ Inspection of surface features such as crack structures, pore morphology and corrosion conditions of various materials.
⑤ In the manufacture of small precision parts: observation of machine tool setups and working processes, inspection of precision components, and use as assembly tools.
⑥ Quality inspection of surface finish for lenses, prisms and other transparent materials, as well as checking precision graduations.
⑦ Identification of authenticity for documents and banknotes.
⑧ Widely applied in many fields including textile products, chemical industry, plastic products, electronics manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food processing, printing industry, universities, archaeological research, etc.
