Five step method for soldering common components with electric soldering iron:

(1) Preparation for welding: The soldering iron head and solder should be close to the workpiece being welded and positioned accurately, in a state where they can be welded at any time. At this time, keep the soldering iron head clean and allow it to stick to the solder.

(2) Heating welding parts: Place the soldering iron head on the workpiece for heating, and the soldering iron head contacts the welding part with a larger heat capacity.

(3) Melting solder: Place the solder wire on the workpiece and melt an appropriate amount of solder. During the soldering process, you can first contact the solder with the soldering iron head, and then move the solder to the position opposite the soldering iron head. This is beneficial for the melting of the solder and the conduction of heat. At this point, be sure to wet the surface of the welded part and the entire solder pad with solder.

(4) Remove the solder wire: After the solder pad is filled with solder, quickly remove the solder wire. Once the required amount of solder is reached, immediately lift the solder wire upwards along the direction of the component lead.

(5) Remove the soldering iron: After the expansion range of the solder meets the requirements, remove the soldering iron. Pay attention to the speed of removing the soldering iron, and lift it up along the direction of the component lead.

Tin plating on electric soldering iron
(1) Tin plating points: The surface of the plated parts should be clean( https://www.dgzj.com/ If there is rust or oxide on the surface of the welded parts, they can be wiped with alcohol, scraped with a knife, or polished with sandpaper.

(2) When producing in small quantities: tin pots can be used for soldering. Use a voltage regulator to supply power and adjust the optimal temperature of the tin pot.

(3) Tin plating on multi stranded wires: Before tin plating on multi stranded wires, the insulation layer should be removed with wire stripping pliers, and then the stripped wires should be rotated and tightened in one direction before tin plating. When tinning, do not immerse the solder into the insulation layer. It is best to leave an outer diameter length of the wire in front of the insulation layer without tin, which is conducive to threading the sleeve.
