For the maintenance of gas detectors, we should follow the below points:
1. Keep the testing instrument dry and strictly prohibit contact with water droplets. And avoid direct contact with corrosive liquids.
2. It is strictly prohibited to use gas detectors in high-temperature environments. Using instruments at high temperatures may cause long-term damage to the sensors. Please refer to the temperature range of the instrument.
3. Do not use testing instruments that have not been dust proofed in environments with high dust density.
4. When the gas detector is turned on, there is a preheating time. For a 60 second countdown jump, it is not an instrument problem. Please be patient. Do not knock on the instrument.
5. Regularly check the inlet of the detector for leaks and blockages, and keep the inlet unobstructed.
6. It is strictly prohibited to use gas detectors to detect environments with unknown concentrations, in order to avoid long-term damage to the sensor.
7. In case of accidental water ingress into the detection instrument, please do not open the instrument, open the casing, promptly handle the water droplets on the instrument, and place it in a ventilated area for 48 hours. Return it to the manufacturer for re inspection and calibration.
8. For gas detectors that have not been dust proofed, they need to be used in areas with high levels of dust. Please place sandpaper or tissue at the air intake hole. (And this method cannot be used regularly)
9. When there is an abnormality in the gas detector, please communicate with the technical personnel of the manufacturer in a timely manner. Do not disassemble or repair the detector without authorization. Due to the fact that the detector undergoes standard gas calibration before leaving the factory.
