Functional Application Notes for Coating Thickness Gauges

The Coating Thickness Gauge non-destructively measures the thickness of non-magnetic coatings (e.g. Aluminium, Chromium, Copper, Enamel, Rubber, Paint, etc.) on magnetic metal substrates (e.g. Steel, Iron, Alloys and Hard Magnetic Steels, etc.) as well as the thickness of non-conductive claddings (e.g. Enamels, Rubber, Paints, Plastics, etc.) on non-magnetic metal substrates (e.g. Copper, Aluminium, Zinc, Tin, etc.).

Characteristics
Thanks to the extremely robust construction, reliable measurements can be made even under difficult environmental conditions.
Two independent pivots and an illuminated display allow simple operation even at hard-to-reach measuring points.
Thanks to the compactness of the device and the intuitive one-hand operation concept, accurate measurements can be carried out quickly and repeatedly.
Measurements are standardised with special modes for IMO PSPC and SSPC-PA2.

Applications
Coating thickness gauges are used for coated layers on steel and iron.
Coating thickness gauges are used for coatings on aluminium and other non-ferromagnetic metals.
Coating thickness gauge for coated layers on steel, aluminium and other non-ferromagnetic metals without changing instruments.
Micron-sized coating layers on non-ferromagnetic metals, iron or steel.
Thick or protective coatings on steel or iron made from non-ferromagnetic metals.

Coating Thickness Gauge Functions
The difference between the software function is actually better to understand, most of the performance, with or without software, software analysis and statistical functions, data export convenience, data storage and screen display data statistical dimensions (for example, some can display real-time film thickness curve fluctuation graph).
