Functions and quality requirements for toxic gas detectors

1. The detector should have selectivity in detecting toxic gases, be able to resist interference from non detecting gases, and provide accurate indications and alarms

2. The detector can cover a certain monitoring area, and effectively detect and alarm the toxic gases released in this area

3. The detector should have automatic compensation for changes in environmental temperature and humidity, protective measures against mechanical damage, rain, wind and sand, and electromagnetic interference to avoid signal distortion.

4. The detector should have reliability assurance functions such as zero adjustment, calibration, and fault alarm

5. The alarm mode of the detector can enable workers to respond in a timely manner, and if necessary, it can be linked to the control device

6. The detector should comply with the requirements of GB12358: Instruments used in explosion-proof places should comply with the requirements of GB50058 and GB3836.1, and other components and transmission wires should comply with the requirements of their relevant standards and specifications

7. Within the specified calibration time interval, all technical indicators of the detector should meet the requirements.

Principles for selecting toxic gas detectors
1. Choose a suitable toxic gas detector based on the toxic gases that need to be monitored and alarmed in the workplace

2. The detection range, detection box alarm accuracy, selectivity, and service life of the toxic gas detector should meet the alarm requirements. The detector should have the ability to resist poisoning and damage

3. Select appropriate toxic gas detectors based on the environment and working conditions of the toxic gas release source and release point

4. Select toxic gas detectors with different structural forms according to the work activity mode of the workers
4.1 Fixed toxic gas detectors should be installed in toxic workplaces where workers frequently engage
4.2 Mobile toxic gas detection devices should be installed in workplaces where workers engage in short-term activities involving toxic gases
4.3 It is not convenient to install fixed or mobile toxic gas detectors, or in toxic workplaces where workers engage in temporary activities or in emergency situations where accidents occur, portable toxic gas detectors should be equipped.
