Gas detectors, periodic testing to ensure accuracy and validity of instruments
A gas detector is a device used to detect changes in the concentration of a leaking gas and requires a high degree of precision and accuracy. Therefore, regular testing and calibration of gas detectors is very necessary. According to national regulations, gas detectors need to undergo regular testing once a year from the date of leaving the factory, and must be calibrated at a statutory metrology department or a legally authorized unit.
Regular testing mainly includes testing of the instrument's metrological performance and general technical requirements. In terms of metrological performance, it is necessary to test the instrument's display value error, repeatability, response time and drift and other parameters to ensure the accuracy and stability of the test results. As for the general technical requirements, it is necessary to check the appearance and structure of the instrument, sign marking, power-on check, alarm function check and insulation resistance. The requirements of these testing items refer to "JJG 693-2011 Combustible Gas Detection and Alarm Testing Regulations".
In the appearance and structure inspection, it is required that the working damage of the instrument should not affect its normal work, and the surface of the newly manufactured instrument should be smooth and even, and there is no peeling and rusting phenomenon. At the same time, the connection of the instrument should be reliable, and the knobs and buttons should be able to operate and control normally. For the sign marking of the instrument, its name, model, factory time, factory manufacturer, instrument number, explosion-proof certification and other signs should be complete, complete and clear. In the power-on inspection, the instrument should be able to work normally, and the display should be able to show the data clearly and completely. The alarm function of the instrument also needs to be checked to ensure that it can normally send out alarm signals. For some of the instruments using AC power supply, the insulation resistance should be not less than 20MΩ.
In the regular testing, you need to ensure that the ambient temperature in the range of 0-40 ℃, relative humidity is less than 85%, and in a well-ventilated, non-interference in the presence of the gas being measured place. When testing, you need to use the same gas standard substance as the instrument gas, or you can use isobutane or propane gas standard substance for testing.
For regular testing of gas detectors, our company has developed and produced a handheld pump-type 5-in-1 gas detection and alarm instrument. The instrument is capable of detecting 1-5 gases at the same time, and the types of gases detected can be up to more than 500 kinds of gases, with the characteristics of filter, high precision, high sensitivity and multiple communication functions. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental protection and other fields, especially in the need to quickly detect the gas concentration of the occasion has a very good application.
