1. Read the manual carefully before use to find out whether it is AC or AC and DC.
2. Mechanical zero adjustment is required before measurement.
3. First estimate the size of the current to be measured or look at the nameplate value, and select the appropriate range. If it is impossible to estimate, you can first select the largest range file, and then change it to a smaller one. You cannot use the low current range to measure large currents. to prevent damage to the instrument.
4. The voltage of the circuit under test cannot exceed the value indicated on the clamp meter, otherwise it is easy to cause a grounding accident or an electric shock hazard.
5. When measuring, the conductor under test should be in the center of the jaws, and the jaws should be closed tightly to reduce errors. If there is noise on the joint surface of the jaws, it should be opened and closed again. Work on the binding surface for accurate readings. In addition, only the current of one phase conductor can be measured at a time, and multiple phase conductors cannot be clamped into the window for measurement.
6. Due to the low precision of the clamp-type ammeter itself, when the minimum range measurement is used and the reading is not obvious, the wire of the circuit under test can be wound a few times, and then put into the jaw of the clamp-type meter for measurement. At this time, the current value indicated by the clamp meter is not the actual value being measured. The actual current should be the reading of the clamp meter divided by the number of turns of the wire.
7. After measuring and reading, open the jaws, withdraw the measured wire, and place the switch at the maximum range.
