How many sampling methods are there for carbon monoxide detectors?

When it comes to carbon monoxide, everyone is definitely familiar with it. Carbon monoxide poisoning accidents have been very common in previous news accidents, especially in the summer and winter seasons. So how can we accurately perceive whether the concentration of carbon monoxide in our environment exceeds the standard? This requires the use of a carbon monoxide detector. What are the sampling methods for carbon monoxide detectors?

1、 Pumped carbon monoxide detector

The instrument is equipped with a small air pump, which operates by driving the power supply to sample the carbon monoxide in the area to be tested, and then sending the carbon monoxide into the instrument for detection. The characteristic of the pump type carbon monoxide detector is its fast detection speed. When equipped with an external sampling handle, it can measure dangerous areas remotely, maintain personnel safety, and is similar to the diffusion type gas detector.

2、 Diffusion type carbon monoxide detector

The gas in the tested area slowly flows into the instrument with the free flow of air for detection. This method is influenced by the detection environment, such as environmental temperature, wind speed, etc. The advantage of a diffusion type carbon monoxide detector is its relatively low cost.

The working principle of pump suction and diffusion gas detectors is basically the same. Carbon monoxide is detected through a carbon monoxide sensor and then amplified and converted into corresponding numerical values on the screen through a circuit.

So if the customer is testing the concentration of carbon monoxide at a low concentration, it is recommended to use a diffusion type carbon monoxide detector. However, if the customer is testing the concentration of carbon monoxide at a high concentration or in a narrow space, it is recommended to use a pump type carbon monoxide detector.
