How to adjust the interpupillary distance in a microscope
Adjustment of interpupillary distance: completely separate the two eyepieces to the maximum position, observe with the left and right eyes at the same time, and then shrink the two eyepieces toward the middle until both eyes see at the same time and only see a circular field of view, record the top of the observation tube, A number of 50-70 below the eyepiece, this number is the interpupillary distance. Write down this interpupillary distance, and directly adjust it to this number in the next observation or observation under another microscope.
Diopter adjustment: The eyepiece can be rotated to change its diopter to adapt to observers with different visions. Generally, the 0 scale line of the eyepiece is aligned with the white line position, and then the left eye is used to observe the right eye and close the right eye to adjust and fine-tune until the specimen is clear, then Close the left eye and use the right eye to observe the rotating device of the adjustment lens to change the diopter until the specimen is clear, and note the diopter. Some only have the right eye adjustable diopter, and some can adjust both eyepieces.
