How to Check for Leakage and Electricity Theft Using a Clamp Ammeter

Disconnect the fuse on the phase line of the AC contactor that regulates the low-voltage line at the distribution transformer. The effectiveness of the residual current-operated protector will be demonstrated if it can be activated routinely at this point. Otherwise, it is recommended to overhaul and replace the residual current operating protector.
Check and judge which phase line is leaking
Install the removed fuse core on one of the phases, use a clamp ammeter to measure the phase, and then disconnect the neutral wire on the outlet side of the AC contactor that regulates the low-voltage line at the distribution transformer. The current is the phase leakage current. Put the clamp ammeter gear on the high current gear first when testing to prevent the presence of phase wire grounding on the line from causing a large current to damage the instrument; if the detection value is low, then move on to the low current gear. Change the clamp ammeter's detecting gear to the mA gear.
