How to check whether the level is truly level

A level ruler is one of the commonly used tools in construction, mainly used to detect or measure levels and verticality, serving as a horizontal reference. However, before using a level ruler, it is necessary to ensure that it is in a horizontal state so that it can be used normally. So, how to determine whether a level ruler is horizontal?

1. The method of testing whether the handheld level is level is as follows: first, place the level against the wall, level the water on the level, draw a line on the wall, then swap the left and right ends of the level, and then place it on the originally drawn line to check. If the level coincides with the line, the water in the level tube of the level is still level, indicating that the level is in a horizontal state and can continue to be used; If it does not overlap, it is necessary to adjust the screw of the water level pipe to correct it.

2. To ensure that the reference surface of the level ruler is level, a plug gauge can be used to check on the platform. First, operate on a calibration instrument, calibrate the level bubble, fix it firmly after calibration, and then start checking. Turn 180 degrees around the same position. If the bubble position is the same, it proves that the level ruler is qualified; If there is a deviation, the error range can be measured using a plug gauge and adjusted accordingly.

Additionally, it should be noted that the principle of leveling with a spirit level is to determine a plane based on two intersecting lines. Therefore, it is necessary to measure at two non parallel positions within the same plane in order to determine the level of the plane.

2, How to adjust the level of a vertical ruler
The level ruler is mainly used to inspect, measure, and debug whether the equipment is installed horizontally. If the vertical level ruler itself is not horizontal, it cannot measure well. So how to adjust the level ruler?

A level ruler has horizontal bubbles. Generally, a level ruler has three glass tubes with one bubble in each tube. The horizontal glass tube is used to measure the horizontal plane, the vertical glass tube is used to measure the vertical plane, and the other is usually used to measure a 45 degree angle. The three bubbles are used to measure whether the measuring plane is horizontal. If the bubble is centered, it is horizontal, and if it deviates, the plane is not horizontal; When adjusting, place the level ruler on the object being measured. The direction of the bubble on the level ruler indicates which side is higher, that is, it is necessary to lower the height of that side or raise the height of the opposite side. Adjust the bubble to a horizontal state, which means the object being measured is horizontal in that direction.
