How to choose a gas detector for different scenarios

In order to meet the needs of gas detection in different working environments in life, it is necessary to choose a suitable and correct gas detector. This is something that everyone engaged in safety and health work should pay attention to. So, in different environments, how to correctly select and use the detector? It is mainly used in the following two environments:

1. An open or developmental site
If the instrument is used as a safety alarm in an open workshop, a diffusion gas detector can be used because it can continuously, instantly and accurately display the concentration of harmful gases on site.

2. Similar closed or airtight places

For example, workplaces such as reactors, storage tanks or vessels, sewers or other underground pipes, underground facilities, agricultural closed granaries, railway tank cars, cargo holds, tunnels, etc. must be inspected before personnel enter and outside the enclosed space. In this case, a multi-gas detector with a built-in sampling pump must be selected. Because the gas distribution and gas type are very different in different parts (upper, middle and lower) in the enclosed space. Therefore, a complete closed space gas detector should be a portable instrument with built-in pumping function, easy to be non-contact, sub-point detection with multi-gas detection function, and detect dangerous gases distributed in different spaces, including inorganic gases and organic gases. With oxygen detection function, avoid hypoxia or small size, it will not affect the work of workers. Only in this way can the absolute safety of the staff entering the enclosed space be ensured. It can be seen that when using gas detectors in different environments, we must pay attention to the method of use, not only to ensure safe work, but also to better make correct analysis and test reports.
