How to maintain hydrogen sulfide gas detector and what are the methods

Hydrogen sulfide detector is an instrument tool used to detect the leakage or concentration of hydrogen chloride gas. It can select and match different parameters according to the same environment. There are two methods on the market: physical method and electrochemical method. Its electrochemical principle is to use gas sensors to detect the presence of hydrogen chloride gas in the environment, convert it into readable data through current signal, and output or edit it. So how to maintain the hydrogen sulfide gas detector?

1. Clarify responsibilities and strengthen management
Assign a dedicated person to manage the hydrogen sulfide gas detector, and the responsible person shall receive professional training to master the structure, working principle, and basic maintenance skills of the alarm. Responsible for establishing and improving all basic data, drawing the detector distribution map on the device plan based on the detector distribution, and pasting the distribution map on the controller panel. Responsible for daily inspection and maintenance, and keeping relevant records.

2. Conduct a thorough inspection
Regularly inspect the hydrogen sulfide gas detector and keep inspection records. Press the self check test system button once a week to check the operation of the system. Conduct a visual inspection once a week, including checking the connection parts, movable components, display and control knobs, checking for faulty lights, inspecting the explosion-proof seals, fasteners and explosion-proof pipes of the detector, checking for blockages in the detector's intake passage, and checking for the detector's waterproof condition.

3. Timely maintenance
Purchase a certain number of commonly used accessories and strengthen maintenance, especially for vulnerable parts such as detectors, waterproof covers, explosion-proof pipes, sound and light alarms. If problems are found, they should be repaired and replaced in a timely manner.

4. Reasonably set up monitoring points
When dismantling detectors and changing detection points, full consideration should be given to equipment facilities, process equipment, diffusion and aggregation of hydrogen sulfide gas, and the effective range of the detector should be comprehensively considered. Reasonable detection points should be set up to ensure that the detector covers all sources of hydrogen sulfide gas release, without monitoring blind spots, and to ensure accurate and reliable detection.

5. Timely verification to ensure accuracy and reliability
Testers that have been repaired or whose installation positions have been changed should be promptly calibrated and calibrated. The hydrogen sulfide gas detector in use should be strictly calibrated according to the calibration cycle. Testers with unstable work or severe oil and gas pollution should be promptly calibrated and calibrated to confirm whether they are damaged. The hydrogen sulfide detector that has been verified as unqualified cannot be used anymore and should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
