How to measure short-circuit breaks with a multimeter after a trip?
Multimeter short circuit
First of all, the black pen of the multimeter is inserted into the "com" hole, the red pen is inserted into the "V Ω" hole, and the knob is adjusted to the beeping file position. The line will be tested by disconnecting the power supply, the two pens were measured line of the two lines, if the multimeter resistance display is 0, and there is a beeping sound, indicating that the line has a short-circuit phenomenon. Also available ohm 1k file or 10k file, disconnect the other end of the line, the two pens to test the two lines, if the multimeter resistance shows 0, indicating a short circuit in the line.
Multimeter test break
When we measure the on-off of the line, we must disconnect the power supply before testing. Turn the knob switch to the beeping gear, to test both ends of the line were touched to the metal pin of the meter pen, if there is a certain resistance, and there is a beeping sound, it means that the line is on; if the resistance is infinite, the display is 1, and there is no beeping sound, then the line is disconnected. Or multimeter select 10k gear, the other end of the line to short, with the multimeter pen to test the two wires, if the multimeter resistance shows 1, it means that it is disconnected; shows 0, may be the line is on.
