1: Always check the appearance of the instrument and remove dust, grease and mildew on the surface in time.
2: Soft dry cloth should be used when cleaning eyepiece, objective lens or laser emission window. It is forbidden to use hard objects to scribe, so as not to damage the optical performance.
3: This machine is a high-precision instrument integrating optics, mechanics and electricity, so it should be handled with care, and it is forbidden to squeeze or fall from a height to avoid damaging the instrument.
Matters needing attention in laser rangefinder
Hand-held laser rangefinder uses laser to measure the distance, and the pulsed laser beam is a monochromatic light source with very concentrated energy. Therefore, when using it, don't aim your eyes directly at the emitting port, and don't use the aiming telescope to observe the reflecting surface, so as not to hurt people's eyes.
If you measure according to the safety operation specifications in the instrument manual, it is also necessary not to point the instrument emitter directly at the sun during field measurement to avoid burning the photosensitive element of the instrument. The life of its rangefinder can be extended for at least one to two years.
Diffuse reflection problem of laser rangefinder with heating ring
Usually, in order to reduce the error, those laser rangefinders will have a reflective surface on the measured end to reduce the error caused by diffuse reflection. How do those telescope laser rangefinders used by snipers overcome this problem? The working principle of laser rangefinder is similar to sonar, but will the signal receiving the reflected light be easily disturbed by other wavelengths and intensities of light in the environment? The detection device of laser rangefinder (pulse type) generally uses avalanche photodiode, which is only sensitive to light with a specific wavelength. If the wavelength is matched, it can detect a very small light intensity, but if the wavelength is mismatched, it can't be detected even if the light intensity is large. Laser just has the characteristic of good monochromaticity, and the commonly used wavelength is 905nm. Therefore, the signal of receiving the reflected light is not easily disturbed by light with other wavelengths and intensities in the environment.
