1、Before the soldering work

Precautions


a. Try to use low-temperature welding
High temperature will make the soldering iron head to accelerate oxidation, reduce the life of the iron head. If the temperature of the soldering iron tip exceeds 470°C, its oxidation rate is twice as fast as 380°C.


b. Do not apply too much pressure
When soldering, please do not apply too much pressure, otherwise the iron head will be damaged and deformed. As long as the iron tip can be full contact with the soldering point, the heat can be transferred. In addition, choosing the right soldering iron tip can also help the heat transfer.


c. Often keep the soldering iron tip tinned.
This can reduce the chance of oxidization of the iron tip and make the iron tip more durable. After use, the temperature of the iron head should be slightly reduced before adding new solder, so that the tin layer has a better anti-oxidation effect.


d. Keep the soldering iron tip clean and clean up the oxides immediately.
If there is black oxide on the iron head, the iron head may not be tinned, and must be cleaned immediately. Clean up the soldering iron head temperature to about 250 ° C, and then use a clean sponge to clean the soldering iron head, and then on the tin. Repeat the action until the oxides are cleaned up.


e. Choose low activity flux
High activity or corrosive flux will accelerate the corrosion of the soldering iron head when heated, so you should use low corrosive flux. Note: Do not use sandpaper or hard objects to clean the soldering iron tip.
