How to repair and maintain insulation resistance multimeter

I. General maintenance
1) Regularly clean the meter's case with a damp cloth and neutral cleaner, do not use abrasives or solvents. Dirt on the terminals and on the terminals of the meter pens will affect the readings, available cleaners to clean up the dirt on each terminal.
2) When not in use, press the POWER button to turn off the power, long-term use should be removed from the battery.
3)Store the instrument to avoid humidity, high temperature and strong magnetic field.
Replacement of battery
1) Press the POWER button to turn off the power, and remove the meter pen or test lead from the terminal, so that the test lead is completely disconnected from the circuit under test.
2)Remove the two screws from the battery cover and take off the battery cover.
3)Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
4)Replace them with 6 AA (AM3/LR6) new batteries (standard capacity about 2450mAh).
5)Close the battery cover and install two screws.
III. Replacing the fuse
In order to avoid being injured by electric shock or arc, which may cause bodily injury or damage to the instrument, the fuse must be replaced according to the following steps, and can only be replaced with the same type or the same electrical specification fuse.
1)Press the POWER button to turn off the power and remove the meter pen or test lead from the terminal so that the test lead is completely disconnected from the circuit under test.
2)Remove the two screws from the battery cover, the two screws from the case back cover, and the one screw behind the battery, and remove the battery cover and case back cover.
3)Gently pry up one end of the fuse, remove the blown fuse, and replace it with a fuse of the same type or the same electrical specifications. Be sure that the fuse is securely clamped in the middle of the fuse holder. Fuse specification: F1A240V.
4) After closing the battery cover and case back cover and tightening the four screws, do not use the meter until it is locked.
