How to use a microscope with high magnification:

(1) Select the target: must first in the low-magnification lens to the parts needing further observation to the centre, at the same time, the object image adjusted to the clearest degree, in order to carry out the observation of the high-magnification lens.

(2) Turn the converter, switch on the high-magnification lens, conversion of high-magnification lens rotation speed should be slow, and observation from the side (to prevent the high-magnification lens collision slide), such as high-magnification lens touches the slide, indicating that the low-magnification lens focus is not adjusted, should be re-opened.

(3) Adjust the focal length: after converting the high magnification lens, use the left eye to observe on the eyepiece, at this time, you can generally see a not too clear object, you can move the spiral of the fine adjuster counterclockwise by about 0.5-1 turn, you can get a clear object (do not use the coarse adjuster!). If the brightness of the field of view is not suitable, the light collector and aperture can be used to adjust, if you need to change the slide specimen, you must turn the coarse adjuster clockwise (do not turn in the wrong direction) to make the mirror table down, before you can remove the slide specimen. If you want to make the image bigger, you have to make the objective lens close to the object and the eyepiece away from the objective lens, and vice versa if the image becomes smaller.

Note: When holding the mirror, you must hold the arm with your right hand and the seat with your left hand, do not extract it with one hand, so as not to dislodge the parts or collide them into other places. Hold and place the microscope lightly, not placed on the edge of the experimental bench, should be placed 10cm from the edge, so as not to knock over the floor.

Keep the microscope clean, the optical and lighting parts can only be wiped with mirror paper, do not blow the mouth and hand wipe or wipe with a cloth, mechanical parts with a cloth. Do not touch the lens and the stage with water droplets, alcohol or other medicines, if stained, wipe it off immediately with mirror paper. When placing the slide specimen should be aligned with the centre of the aperture, and the slide should not be placed backwards to prevent the slide from being crushed or the objective lens from being touched. To develop the habit of observing with both eyes open at the same time, with the left eye to observe the field of view, the right eye used to draw. Do not remove the eyepiece to prevent dust from falling into the objective lens, and do not arbitrarily disassemble various parts to prevent damage. After use, must be restored to be put back into the mirror box, the steps are: remove the specimen piece, rotate the rotator so that the lens away from the light hole, down the mirror stage, flat reflector, down the light collector (but do not touch the reflector), close the aperture, the push piece of the device back to the cover, cover the silk cloth and the outer cover, put back into the laboratory cabinet. Finally, fill in the use registration form. (Note: the reflector should normally be placed vertically, but sometimes because the light collector is not raised to the height it should be, the aperture will be touched when the mirror table is lowered, so it is changed to a flat place).
