1. Take off the jacket and remove the night vision equipment.
2. With a penny, place the battery into the battery groove after opening the battery cover.
3. The night vision equipment has the battery attached and is ready.
4. Position the switch so that it is ON. If the light level is low, move to the IR position. The phosphor screen and infrared illuminator should have bright patches visible to a night vision device that is ordinarily turned on.
5. Remove the lens cap on the objective.
6. Aim the night vision apparatus toward the target being viewed, rotate the scope, and locate a distinct image.
7. Along the night vision goggle's barrel, adjust the eye reference.
8. Turn the switch to OFF once the night vision gadget is finished, then cover the objective lens cover. After turning off the night vision equipment, it can continue to function for ten to fifteen minutes (to fully discharge the battery). This function can be used to increase the battery's operating time.
9. To prevent the battery dielectric from pouring out and contaminating the battery box, it is advised to remove the battery when the night vision equipment is done. If the screen doesn't illuminate when the switch is turned on or the light is dim, the battery needs to be changed. Wipe the surface of the battery casing with a soft cotton cloth or cotton ball if the battery has contaminated it. The battery case needs to be dried if it becomes wet. For example, you should blow off any fine grit or dust before using a soft cloth to wash the optical surface of the objective lens, eyepiece, and infrared irradiator.
