1. Switch on and check
Before use, the first thing to do is to carry out a power-on check. The check includes: whether the battery is sufficient, whether the display is normal, whether the alarm is in normal working condition. 2. Calibration
In the process of use, it needs to be calibrated regularly to ensure the accuracy of the detection data. Calibration method is as follows:
(1) Place the detector in a standard gas environment with a known concentration, such as an air environment with a methane concentration of 10%.
(2) Wait for a period of time to allow the instrument to acclimatise to the environment and then observe the reading on the display.
(3) If the reading matches the standard value, it means that the calibration has been successful; if the reading differs greatly from the standard value, adjustments need to be made until the reading matches the standard value.
3. Detection
(1) Wear the detector fixed on the belt, make sure the detector is facing forward, so as to quickly capture the combustible gas.
(2) Enter the detection area. Before entering an area where combustible gases may be present, conduct a test to ensure safety.
(3) Moving Detection. Within the detection area, slowly move the detector and observe the change in reading on the display. If the reading exceeds the preset safety threshold, an alarm signal will be issued, at which time the site should be evacuated immediately and appropriate safety measures taken.
