How to use the multimeter, ten usage instructions of the multimeter

1. When changing the function and range, the test pen should leave the test point, select the correct function and range during the test, and beware of misuse.

2. For AC voltage measurement, first turn the range switch to the corresponding ACV range, and then connect the test leads to the circuit under test.

3. For DC current measurement, first turn the range switch to the corresponding DCA position, and then connect the instrument to the circuit under test.

4. For AC current measurement, first turn the range switch to the corresponding ACA position, and then connect the meter to the circuit under test.

5. For resistance measurement, turn the range switch to the corresponding resistance range, and connect the two test leads to the measured resistance.

6. For capacitance measurement, turn the range switch to the corresponding capacitance range, connect the test leads across the measured capacitance and both ends to measure, and pay attention to the polarity if necessary.

7. The voltage below 36V is a safe voltage. When measuring higher than 36V DC and 25V AC, check whether the test leads are in reliable contact, whether they are connected correctly, and whether the insulation is good, etc., to avoid electric shock.

8. For DC voltage measurement, first turn the range switch to the corresponding DCV range, then connect the test pen to the circuit under test, and the voltage and polarity of the point connected to the red test pen will be displayed on the screen.

9. For tube magnification measurement, set the range switch to the hFE position, determine whether the transistor under test is NPN or PNP type, and insert the emitter, base and collector into the corresponding holes.

10. For the pole tube and on-off test, set the range switch to the file, connect the red meter to the positive pole of the diode, and the black test lead to the negative pole of the diode. When measuring the continuity of the circuit, connect the test leads to both ends of the circuit to be tested. If the buzzer sounds, the circuit will be connected, otherwise the circuit will be disconnected.
