Hydrogen gas detector applications in the industry
Hydrogen energy is considered a green energy source and is becoming a low- and zero-carbon energy source.
However, in the production and application of hydrogen cells, there may be a risk of H2 leakage.H2 leakage can degrade the performance of the fuel cell, and H2 is a flammable gas, and excessive deposition poses a significant hidden safety risk. Therefore, in order to detect hydrogen leaks, hydrogen detectors must be used.
Hydrogen detectors respond quickly and accurately to hydrogen gas leaks. It provides a timely alarm when a hydrogen gas leak occurs. It is the most commonly used gas detection instrument in industry today. There are three main types of hydrogen gas detectors:
1. On-line Hydrogen Detection Alarms
Online hydrogen detection alarm consists of gas detection alarm controller and fixed hydrogen detector. The gas detection alarm controller can be placed in the monitoring room to monitor and control each monitoring point. The hydrogen detector is installed in the place where the gas is most likely to leak, and its core component is the gas sensor.
2.Portable hydrogen detector
Portable hydrogen gas detector can be carried around, can continuously detect the hydrogen concentration in the working environment of the carrier. Hydrogen leakage detector is a natural diffusion method, using imported electrochemical sensors, good sensitivity and repeatability; hydrogen detector adopts embedded micro-control system, easy to operate, perfect function and high reliability.
3.Pump suction hydrogen detector
The pump suction hydrogen detector adopts built-in suction pump, which can quickly detect the hydrogen concentration in the working environment. Pump suction hydrogen detector adopts imported electrochemical sensors, large LCD display clearly, sound and light alarm reminders to ensure that the detection of dangerous gases in the low light working atmosphere, timely remind the operator to prevent danger.
The hydrogen detector converts the hydrogen concentration detected by the sensor into an electrical signal and transmits it to the gas detection alarm controller through a cable. The higher the gas concentration, the higher the electrical signal. When the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the alarm point set by the alarm controller, the gas detection alarm controller sends out an alarm signal to activate solenoid valves, exhaust fans and other externally chained equipment to eliminate the hidden danger automatically. Online hydrogen detection alarm is widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electric power, coal mine, water plant and other environments, effectively preventing the occurrence of explosive accidents.
