Hydrogen sulfide alarm value standard for four-in-one gas detector

It is very important to set the alarm value of hydrogen sulfide in four-in-one gas detector, and it needs to determine the appropriate value according to relevant standards and requirements. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic gas, which is very harmful to human body and environment, so it is very important to detect and alarm as soon as possible.

According to the national standard GBZ 2.1-2019 occupational exposure limits of Hazardous Factors in Workplace Part 1: Chemical Hazardous Factors, the maximum allowable concentration of hydrogen sulfide in occupational exposure limits MAC is 10mg/m3. This standard gives the acceptable concentration range of hydrogen sulfide in the workplace.

According to the national standard GB/T 50493-2019 Design Standard for Detection and Alarm of Combustible and Toxic Gases in Petrochemical Industry, the measuring range of toxic gases should be 0~300%OEL, and the OEL should be 10mg/m3. The primary alarm value should be less than or equal to 100%OEL, that is, 10mg/m3, and the secondary alarm value should be less than or equal to 200%OEL, that is, 20mg/m3. When the measuring range of the existing detector cannot meet the requirements, the first-class alarm value shall not exceed 5%IDLH and the second-class alarm value shall not exceed 10%IDLH.

Based on the requirements of the above standards, we can draw the following criteria for setting the alarm value of hydrogen sulfide in the four-in-one gas detector:

1. Measuring range: 0~30mg/m3, which is equivalent to the volume concentration of 0~20ppm.

2. Level 1 low alarm setting value (AL): no more than 10mg/m3, that is, no more than 6.5ppm volume concentration.

3. Set value of secondary high alarm (AH): no more than 20mg/m3, that is, no more than 12ppm.

The alarm value range set in this way can ensure that the alarm will be given in time when the safety concentration exceeds, and protect the health and life safety of personnel.

When choosing a specific four-in-one gas detector, we should pay attention to its quality and performance. A good gas detector should have the characteristics of high precision, high sensitivity, fast response, stability and reliability. At the same time, the instrument is easy to operate, portable and convenient, and can meet the requirements of different working environments and needs.
