Improvement of Capacitor Socket of Digital Multimeter
A digital multimeter can measure capacitors from 1pF to 20μF. However, due to the different sizes or shapes of the pins of various capacitors, it cannot be measured. It is much more convenient if a door-shaped latch is provided with a copper-clad plate as shown in the figure.
Production method: Take a single-sided or double-sided copper-clad plate with a thickness of about 1.1mm, cut it into a gate-shaped block according to the picture, cut and peel off the copper-clad foil with a carving knife, and then solder short leads with alligator clips. . When in use, insert the gate-shaped pin into the capacitance measurement hole of the digital multimeter, and then clamp the pin of the capacitor to be measured with alligator clips to measure. In this way, no matter what shape, no matter how thick or thin, the capacitor pins can be clamped reliably.
However, there is a slight error in measuring small capacitors with this pin.
