Internal analysis of a handheld oscilloscope
Capture method
Peak detection - every two sampling periods are regarded as a peak detection period, and the maximum and minimum values are sampled within the period, which are used as sampling points to form a waveform. This capture method is used to capture high-frequency and random glitches. Glitters as narrow as 10ns can be captured at all time scales from 5μs/div to 5s/div.
Sampling - Sampling of data at equal time intervals.
Average - averages 2 to 512 (optional) captured waveform data.
Envelope – The maximum/minimum value obtained on one or more captured signals.
trigger system
1. Main triggering mode - automatic (supports 0.5s/div and slower scrolling modes), normal.
2. Trigger type
Edge-Conventional level-driven triggering. Positive and negative slope on any channel. Coupling selection: DC, noise suppression, high frequency suppression, low frequency suppression.
External trigger - supports 5MHz TTL level, optional 200mV~2V trigger level;
Video - You can choose to trigger on fields or lines of video, trigger on NTSC, pAL or SECAM broadcast standard video;
Motor trigger: Trigger on 3- and 5-level pulse width modulation power signals. This function is only used in THS720p.
3. Trigger source: any channel, external trigger channel, external trigger channel/5, mains power;
4. Trigger display: can display the trigger level;
5. Cursor system:
Type: horizontal line, vertical line, paired line;
Vernier measurements: Δvolts, Δtime, 1/Δtime (Hz), degrees (phase).
time base system
1. Horizontal zoom: Horizontally zoom in or out on static or dynamic waveforms. You can use the window to select a specific area to zoom in and observe by expanding the window.
2. Time/grading range: -5ns~5s/div;
3. Record length: 2500 points;
4. Horizontal accuracy: ±0.01%;
5. Time base stability: 200ppm.
measuring system
1. Automatic waveform measurement - automatically measures 21 parameters: period, frequency, positive pulse width, negative pulse width, positive overshoot, negative overshoot, high value, low value, maximum, minimum value, peak-peak, amplitude, Average, period average, root mean square, period root mean square, rise time, fall time, positive duty cycle, negative duty cycle, burst width, can display four waveform measurement values in any combination.
2. Threshold - Various thresholds can be set according to percentage or voltage, for example, rising edge from 10% to 90% (or 0.1V to 0.9V)
3. Calculation operators - addition, subtraction, multiplication, calculation of U×I power value;
