On the Operation and Use of Photoelectric Range Finder
First, put the theodolite on the measuring station, after centering and leveling, install the rangefinder host on the theodolite bracket, lock it with the connector fixing screw, insert the battery into the bottom of the host and fasten it. Place a reflective prism at the target point, center and level it, and make the mirror face the host.
Observe vertical angle, air temperature and air pressure.
Aim the crosshairs of theodolite at the center of the board and measure the vertical angle α. At the same time, observe and record the readings on the temperature and barometer. Observing the vertical angle, temperature and air pressure aims at correcting the inclination, temperature and air pressure measured by the range finder, so as to get the correct horizontal distance.
Ranging preparation
Press the power on key "PWR" to start the machine, and the host machine will perform self-check and display the original set values of temperature, air pressure and prism constant, and will display "good" after passing the self-check.
If the original set value is corrected, press the "TPC" key and then input the temperature, air pressure value or prism constant (generally input one by one through the "ENT" key and numeric keys). In general, as long as the same kind of reflector is used, the prism constant will remain unchanged, while the temperature and pressure may be different every time, so it needs to be reset.
distance measurement
Adjust the horizontal adjustment handwheel (or horizontal inching screw of theodolite) of the sighting axis of the main engine and the pitch inching screw of the main engine, so that the rangefinder telescope can accurately aim at the center of the prism. When "good" is displayed, accurate aiming can also be judged according to the buzzer sound. The stronger the signal, the louder the sound. Micro-move the rangefinder up and down, left and right to maximize the buzzer sound, and then accurate aiming is completed, and "*" appears.
After accurate aiming, press the "MSR" key, and the host will measure and display the oblique distance corrected by temperature, air pressure and prism constant. During the measurement, if the light beam is blocked or the atmosphere shakes, the measurement will be temporarily interrupted, at this time, the "*" disappears, and the automatic measurement will continue after the light intensity is normal; If the light beam is interrupted for 30 seconds, the light intensity must be restored, and then press the "MSR" key to retest.
Generally, the conversion from oblique distance to horizontal distance is carried out in the field with a range finder. The method is: press the "V/H" key to input the vertical angle value, and then press the "SHV" key to display the horizontal distance. Press "SHV" key continuously to display oblique distance, horizontal distance and height difference in turn.
