Introduction to Common Faults of Sound Level Meter and Noise Meter
1. No display on the sound level meter display
(1) The internal battery connection is disconnected or the battery contact is not good: solder the connection and replace the battery contact piece. (2) The battery is damaged: replace the battery.
2. The measurement reading is obviously low or the calibration is less than 94.0dB.
(1) Microphone sensitivity is too low or damaged: replace the microphone and recalibrate.
(2) The contacts of the preamplifier are not in good contact with the microphone: clean the contacts.
(3) The plug of the preamplifier is not in good contact with the host socket: replace the plug socket.
3. The reading is high during low sound level measurement, and the ground wire of the preamplifier is in contact: tighten the outer sleeve.
1. The noise meter display has no display
The accuracy of the sound level meter is: Class I accuracy ±0.7dB, Class II accuracy ±1dB, Class III accuracy ±1.5dB, ordinary sound level meter ±2dB
Sound level meters can be divided into two categories according to their uses: one is used to measure steady-state noise, and the other is used to measure unsteady-state noise and impulse noise.
Integrating sound level meters are used to measure the equivalent sound level of unsteady noise over a period of time. Noise dosimeter is also an integrating sound level meter, mainly used to measure noise exposure. Impulse sound level meter is used to measure impulse noise. This sound level meter conforms to the human ear's response to impulse sound and the average time of human ear's response to impulse sound.
