Introduction to the application fields and daily precautions of gas detectors

In order to ensure the efficiency of gas detectors in various industries, users should pay attention to:

1. Regular calibration. It is generally recommended to calibrate the instrument every 6 or 12 months, using standard gases to calibrate the instrument according to the instrument operation instructions. Do not calibrate randomly without accurate target gases.

2. The drift problem of gas detector sensors is an inherent characteristic. No matter how precise the instrument is, the sensor will have a slight zero drift every month, so zero calibration is required.

3. Gas detector sensors have different preheating times due to different principles, so in order to ensure optimal performance, it is necessary to start the machine in advance for preheating.

4. The gas detector is mainly used to detect gas concentration, so the sensor components must not be filled with water.

Specific application areas of gas detectors:

1. Leakage detection: on-site detection and alarm of flammable or toxic gases and vapors in equipment pipelines, and leak detection during equipment pipeline operation.

2. Life detection: In the event of a major earthquake or various disasters, it is mainly the use of detectors to detect where human life is buried after being buried in the soil.

3. Emergency testing: In case of abnormal situations or accidents at the production site, combustible or toxic gases and vapors should be tested for safety and hygiene.

4. Maintenance and testing: After equipment maintenance and replacement, residual flammable or toxic gases and vapors should be detected, especially before hot work. 5. Patrol inspection: During safety and hygiene checks, flammable and toxic gases or liquid vapors should be detected. 6. Entry detection: When personnel enter the flammable and toxic substance isolation operation room, enter the sewer ditch, cable trench or equipment in hazardous areas for operation, they must detect flammable and toxic gases or liquid vapors.
