4x Zoom Digital Sight, 2.5-inch Colour Display, Tilt SensorAll in one handheld laser rangefinder, the D5 is designed for outdoor measurement work and is equipped with a variety of measurement features, including a 4x Zoom Digital SightThe 4x Zoom Digital Sight allows you to aim at distant targets faster and can be used in bright outdoor environments. In environments where the laser dot is indistinguishable to the naked eye, you can easily identify the laser dot on the large 2.4-inch high-definition colour display and accurately take measurements at long distances.

Laser rangefinder, is the use of modulation of a certain parameter of the laser to achieve the distance measurement of the target instrument, it is lightweight, small size, easy to operate fast and accurate, and its error is only one-fifth to several hundredths of other optical rangefinders. The world's first laser, by the United States Hughes Aircraft Corporation scientists Mayman in 1960, the first successful development of the ruby laser. The U.S. military soon carried out research on laser devices on this basis. 1961, the first laser rangefinder through the U.S. military demonstration test, on the laser rangefinder soon thereafter entered the practical stage. As the laser rangefinder prices continue to fall, the industry has gradually begun to use laser rangefinders. At home and abroad appeared a number of new with fast distance measurement, small size, reliable performance and other advantages of the miniature rangefinder, can be widely used in industrial measurement and control, mining, ports and other fields.

The principle of phase method laser distance measurement technology:
The mainstream laser rangefinder on the market today is based on the phase method of laser rangefinder. This is because the laser rangefinder based on the phase method can easily overcome the ultrasonic rangefinder a major flaw: too large an error, so that the measurement accuracy to the millimetre level. The main drawbacks of laser rangefinders based on this method are the complexity of the circuit, the shorter distance (about one hundred metres, after the efforts of many scientists, there are now also phase method laser rangefinders with a distance of several hundred metres).

Phase method laser distance measuring technology, is the use of radio frequency laser, amplitude modulation and sinusoidal modulation of light round-trip rangefinder and the distance between the target produced by the phase difference measurement, according to the modulation of the wavelength and frequency of light, the conversion of the laser time of flight, and then calculate the distance to be measured in turn. The method generally requires the placement of mirrors at the object to be measured, the laser will be reflected back to the laser rangefinder in the original way, by the receiver module of the discriminator to receive processing. In other words, the method is a passive laser distance measurement technology with cooperative target requirements.

Principle of pulse method laser ranging technology:
Phase method is similar to the method used in ultrasonic speed ranging, the maximum measurement distance is usually a few hundred metres, can more easily reach the millimetre order of magnitude, but in accordance with the method of the design of the rangefinder's maximum measurement distance is limited, not scalable. The method is mainly used in foreign countries more widely. The pulse method of laser ranging generally uses infrared laser, including near-infrared laser and mid-infrared laser. This band of laser has visible and non-visible points. And the rangefinder based on this technology has low coherence requirements, fast speed, simple implementation structure, high peak output power, high repetition frequency and wide range, so this project uses the pulse method to design the handheld laser rangefinder.
