Learn to find faults with a multimeter

Multimeter to check whether the wire short circuit method

Short-circuit wire: it means that the fire wire and the zero wire are connected together, so we call it a short-circuit wire.

Multimeter to determine whether the fire line and the zero line is short-circuited, we have to use the multimeter beeping file, in the case of power failure, first we put the red pen on the fire line, the black pen on the zero line, if there is a beeping sound to prove that it is through, if the fire line and the zero line is through, proving that the wire is short-circuited, the multimeter does not respond to prove that it is not passable, if the fire line and the zero line is not passable, proving that there is no short-circuiting of the wires!

Note: Check the short circuit with a multimeter, first of all, power off, fire wire and zero line disconnected from the load

Multimeter to check whether the wire is disconnected method

Wire break: refers to the wire does not work, there is a break point in the middle of the wire, we also known as open-circuit

Multimeter to determine whether the wire is disconnected, but also with the multimeter beep file, with red and black pens were placed on the two ends of the wire, if there is a beeping sound to prove that the wire is open.
If there is a beeping sound to prove that it is through, if the multimeter does not respond to prove that it is broken, that is, the wire is broken!

Note: Use the multimeter to determine whether the wire is broken, to measure the broken point of the wire!

Multimeter to determine whether the wire leakage method

Wire leakage: refers to the fire wire connected to the ground, or the zero line connected to the ground, we call leakage, the fire wire and ground connected to the fire wire leakage, the zero line and ground connected to the zero line leakage

Household appliances leakage: refers to the electrical wires of household appliances and home appliances connected to the metal casing, we call the household appliances leakage

Multimeter to determine whether the wire leakage, we also use the multimeter beep file, with red and black pens to measure the firewire and ground, zero line and ground, if there is a beep is a leakage, if the multimeter does not respond to prove that there is no leakage!

Multimeter to determine whether the household appliances leakage, we also use the multimeter beeping file, with red and black pens were placed on the household appliances and home appliances on the metal casing of the wire, if the multimeter beeping is a leakage of electricity, the multimeter does not respond to prove that there is no leakage of electricity!

Note: the multimeter to measure the leakage of power to power off the first operation, for the wires vaguely leakage or household appliances leakage, with the multimeter is generally not measured, to megohmmeter to measure!

Multimeter measurement of short-circuit, circuit breakers, leakage methods are basically the same, are using the multimeter beeper file, through the measurement of the method, to determine whether the short circuit, circuit breakers and leakage
