A spirit level is an angle measuring instrument that measures the angle of inclination from the horizontal plane. The key part of the spirit level - the inner surface of the main bubble tube is polished, the outer surface of the bubble tube is engraved with a scale, and the inside is filled with liquid and air bubbles. The main bubble tube is equipped with a bubble chamber to adjust the length of the bubble. The vial is always level with respect to the bottom surface, but is likely to change during use, for which an adjustment screw is provided.
1. Before measuring, the measuring surface should be carefully cleaned and dried to check whether there are scratches, rust, burrs and other defects on the measuring surface.
2. Check whether the zero position is correct. If not, the adjustable level should be adjusted. The adjustment method is as follows: put the level on the plate and read the scale of the bubble tube. Read the scale on the vial. If the readings are the same, the bottom surface of the spirit level is parallel to the bubble tube. If the readings are not consistent, use the spare adjustment pin, insert it into the adjustment hole, and adjust up and down.
3. When measuring, try to avoid the influence of temperature. The liquid in the level has a great influence on the temperature. Therefore, you should pay attention to the influence of hand heat, direct sunlight, breath and other factors on the level.
4. During use, readings should be made at the position of the vertical level to reduce the influence of parallax on the measurement results.
Packaging and storage of the spirit level
The spirit level belongs to the measuring tool, and the packaging requirements are strict. Each spirit level should be packed in a shockproof box made of foam material, and should be coated with antirust oil and packed in a plastic bag before packing. The shockproof box is put into a strong carton or wooden box, and the outside of the box is painted with the specified mark. The spirit level should be stored in a dry, ventilated warehouse without corrosive gas. Strictly prevent falling and rain during transportation.
