Maintaining the optical microscope

Optical microscope is composed of many optical elements and metal parts , Therefore, it ensures the cleanness of optical elements and the stability of the system , To keep the microscope working efficiently , It is beneficial to extend its service life. The following are Some knowledge about daily maintenance of optical microscope.

I Use environment

1, Damp proof: when the air is too humid , Optical lenses are easy to mildew , Fogging ; After mechanical parts are damped , It is easy to rust. At ordinary times, the microscope room should ensure Humidity below 65% , Dehumidifier shall be equipped indoors in humid areas.

2, Temperature control: in order to prevent the lens from peeling and falling off due to thermal expansion and contraction , The room temperature of microscope room is recommended to be maintained at 20-24℃.

3, dustproof : Dust falling on optical element surface , Not only affects the light passing through , And after being magnified by the optical system , It will generate large stains , Impact observation. Dust and sand particles fall into the mechanical part , It will also increase wear , The harm is also great. Therefore, the microscope room should be kept clean , When the microscope is not in use, it shall be covered with a dust cover to prevent dust falling.

4, Corrosion protection: the microscope cannot be placed together with corrosive and volatile chemical reagents , Such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, strong base, etc.

5, Shockproof: the optical system and mechanical system of the microscope are precisely calibrated , Shockproof during use and storage , At the same time, avoid direct sunlight , Avoid air conditioner direct blowing microscope , To ensure its inherent high performance.

6, Voltage stabilization: the fluctuation of power supply voltage in the microscope room should not exceed the normal voltage ±10% , Regulated power supply should be installed in areas with unstable voltage , Protect the microscope system from damage.

II Mechanical system maintenance

1, Cleaning of paint surface: stubborn stains can be cleaned with soft detergent .

2, Cleaning of plastic surface: clean with soft cloth dipped in water .

III Optical system maintenance

1, Do not touch optical parts with your hands .

2, Mirror wiping paper is used for cleaning the oil mirror , Always use a degreasing cotton swab for dry mirror cleaning .

3, After using the oil lens, use clean and soft professional lens wiping paper dipped in absolute ethanol to gently wipe the oil lens in a spiral progressive manner ; ( Pay attention to the two sides of the mirror wiping paper , The lines are different: one side is rough , The other side is smoother , Use the smoother side for cleaning. Generally, it is not recommended to wipe directly with dry mirror wiping paper , It may also scratch the lens ) .

4, If there are stubborn stains or dust , First, blow away the larger and harder dust with the ear wash ball , Then use a long fiber absorbent cotton swab or clean cotton cloth dipped in absolute alcohol to wipe , This will prevent larger and harder dust particles from scratching the lens , Influence the observation effect.

5, Methods of wiping eyepiece and objective lens

① Dip the top of long fiber degreasing cotton swab with absolute ethanol ;

② Eyepiece: start from the central part , Gently and gradually wipe to the edge in a spiral way ;

③ Objective lens&condenser lens: wipe the objective lens and condenser lens with a absorbent cotton swab in the same way ;

④ Note: It is not necessary to frequently place the objective lens /Remove the eyepiece and clean it , In daily use, only use degreasing cotton swab and mirror wiping paper together with absolute alcohol to wipe off the oil stain , The objective lens shall be disassembled and cleaned only when encountering stubborn stains. When wiping the lens , Move gently , Do not exert too much force , To avoid damaging the coating layer.
