Multiple measurement methods for coating thickness gauges

 

The coating thickness gauge has two measurement methods: continuous measurement method (Continuue) and single measurement method (Single);


There are two working modes: direct mode (SELECT) and group mode (APPL);


There are five statistical measures: mean (MEAN), maximum (MAX), minimum (MIN), number of tests (NO.), standard deviation (S.DEV)


Can perform zero point calibration and two-point calibration, and can use basic calibration methods to correct the systematic error of the measuring head;
1. It has storage function: it can store 300 measurement values;


2. It has deletion function: it can delete a single suspicious data that appears in the measurement, and also delete all data in the storage area of the coating thickness gauge for new measurements;


3. Limits can be set: automatic alarms can be triggered for measured values outside the limits;


4. It has the function of communicating with the PC: it can transmit measured and statistical values to the PC for further processing by the coating thickness gauge;


5. It has a power undervoltage indication function; There is a buzzing sound during the operation process; Has error prompt function; Equipped with automatic shutdown function.


The display of the coating thickness gauge is unstable.
The main reason for the unstable display of the coating thickness gauge is due to the special nature of the material and structure of the workpiece itself, such as whether the workpiece is a conductive magnetic material. If it is a conductive magnetic material, we need to choose a magnetic coating thickness gauge. If the workpiece is a conductive material, we need to choose an eddy current coating thickness gauge. The surface roughness and attachments of the workpiece are also the reasons for the temperature difference in the instrument display. The surface roughness of the workpiece is too large and there are too many surface attachments. The key to troubleshooting is to smooth out workpieces with high roughness, remove any attachments, and then choose a suitable coating thickness gauge.
