Operation Guide for VOC Detectors
1. Continuous sensitive measurement: PID can detect organic compounds as low as PPb concentration in real time. Especially suitable for the health and safety needs of modern petrochemical, labor hygiene, environmental monitoring and other departments.
2. Fast: PID has a fast response time, usually less than 3 seconds, suitable for quick emergency needs.
3. Portable measurement: The instrument is small in size and light in weight, and can be carried to any location that needs to be tested. The built-in powerful suction pump can suck up the gas to be tested that is difficult for personnel to reach.
4. High safety: The instrument is inherently safe and does not require dangerous carrier gases such as hydrogen.
5. Wide adaptability: It can detect the vast majority of organic substances within the concentration range of 1 ppb to 10000 ppb.
6. Non destructive measurement: Since PID only ionizes organic matter, it will recombine after the organic components leave the detector. Therefore, users can use the powerful suction pump of PID for sampling operations and further laboratory analysis of the tested samples.
7. Sensors will not be poisoned: Unlike most detectors or sensors based on other principles, PID detectors using optical principles will not be damaged by high concentrations of the measured substance.
8. Only reacts with organic matter: PID does not react with common gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, etc., so it has a certain directionality in complex environments.
The detection program of gas detectors, like other types of analytical instruments, is basically carried out through comparative methods for identification.
Firstly, calibrate a standard concentration detector with a zero gas detector, and soon a standard curve will be obtained. Then, store it in the instrument.
When testing, the electrical signal generated by the concentration of the gas to be tested can be compared with the signal generated by the standard concentration, and the more accurate concentration value of the gas can be obtained through calculation.
Therefore, timely detection and zero calibration of gas detectors have practical significance in ensuring the accuracy of their use.
From the eight characteristics of the VOC detector, it can be seen that the VOC detector can detect various gases, not only toxic and harmful gases, but also many rare gases. Monitoring through the VOC detector can better protect the environment and control the emission of toxic and harmful gases.
