Usage of Dual purpose Coating Thickness Gauge - Step 1
1.1 Press the power switch ON/OFF, hear a beep sound prompt, the instrument automatically enters the measurement state, and automatically restores the parameter settings before the last shutdown.
1.2 Press the probe vertically onto the coating to be tested, and the value displayed on the screen is the measured value of the coating to be tested (if the measurement result is not accurate, the instrument can be calibrated according to the third point: Instrument Calibration).
1.3 Attention: Do not raise the probe to more than 1 centimeter during each measurement, and do not press the probe too slowly onto the object being measured.

2.1 School Zero
2.1.1 Press the probe onto the reference block (or an uncoated measuring object), and then press the zero calibration button "ZERO" again to calibrate. When pressing the "ZERO" button, do not shake the measuring probe on the reference block, and only lift the probe after pressing the "ZERO" button. Otherwise, the zero calibration is incorrect.
2.1.2 Lift the measuring probe to a height of more than 1 centimeter, and then press the probe onto the reference block (or uncoated measuring body) at normal speed. If the measurement value at the same point is around "0", it indicates successful zero calibration. Otherwise, it should be recalibrated.
2.2 Calibration
2.2.1 Select an appropriate standard film for calibration based on the coating thickness to be measured.
2.2.2 First, place the standard diaphragm on the reference block (or on the uncoated measuring body), and then press the measuring probe onto the standard diaphragm. If the measured value on the display screen is different from the standard diaphragm, the measured value can be corrected by pressing the "+" or "-" keys (when correcting by pressing the "+" or "-" keys, please lift the probe).
To ensure the accuracy of calibration, it can be verified by measuring the same standard membrane multiple times.
