Portable pH Meter Use and Maintenance

Portable PH meters also include pen-type PH meters, and with the continuous advancement of technology, PH meters have various shapes and functions, such as waterproof, foldable and so on. Simple and clear display on the LCD screen. And it is equipped with batteries, which can be replaced and reused. The key is to be lightweight and convenient. Here is a market-friendly pH meter:

Scope of application: It is suitable for pH value determination of aqueous solutions in industries such as physical and chemical analysis, environmental protection, swimming pools, aquariums, food, cosmetics, soilless culture, and aquaculture.

1. Remove the protective cap of the electrode, align it with the interface of the instrument and turn it clockwise until it is tight (do not use too much force), turn on the power switch, insert the electrode into the solution to be tested, and the instrument displays the pH value of the solution. To lock the number, turn the switch to lock the reading. After the measurement is completed, turn off the power, release the lock, remove the electrode, and cover the electrode protective cover (the protective cover contains lv potassium chloride protective solution).

2. Instrument standard: The instrument has been calibrated when it leaves the factory. If it is not used for a long time, it should be restarted or if calibration is required, it should be calibrated before measurement. For the calibration method, see "IV. Instrument Standard" in the manual.

3. When the instrument is reactivated after being left unused for a long time, the glass bulb of the measuring electrode should be soaked in saturated lv potassium chloride solution for 1 hour. When soaking, the electrode should not be immersed in the solution too deep (inserted 2-3 cm), and the electrode joint should not be wet.

4. Maintenance

a) The measuring electrode should be cleaned with distilled water, and the electrode joint should not be wet during cleaning.

b) The connection part between the electrode and the instrument should be kept clean and dry. If there is any stain, it can be wiped off with 99% alcohol.

c) When the display of the instrument becomes dim, please replace the battery, and pay attention to the positive and negative electrodes of the electrodes (red is the positive electrode) when installing a new battery.
