Portable VOC gas detector used in the environment?
Portable VOC detectors have made our lives easier, but how do different testing environments affect portable VOC detectors? So the environment in which the portable VOC gas detector is used?
Portable VOC gas detectors will produce different time stability for different environments as follows:
VOC is the saturated vapor pressure at room temperature exceeds 133.32pa, boiling point at 50 ℃ -250 ℃, can be evaporated in the form of organic matter present in the air. The core component of the portable VOC gas detector is the PID (photoionization) sensor, which has a total of 5 ranges selectable from 0-20ppm, 0-50ppm, 0-200ppm, 0-2000ppm, 0-10,000ppm, and can be accurate to PPb level.
When the portable VOC gas detector is turned on for the first time, the TVOC is gray (normally black) because the TVOC needs to warm up for about 20 minutes and takes a little longer to detect high ambient concentrations.
Sensors have different temporal stability in different environments, so before selecting an instrument, be sure to check the environment it will test in and purchase different range sensors for different environments. As the detection accuracy of low range sensors is very high, but the detection accuracy of high range sensors is necessarily lower.
1. If you test TVOC in indoor air, you usually choose a 0-20 ppm or 0-50 ppm sensor, of course, the 0-20 ppm sensor. Because the TVOC content in indoor air is very low, a sensor is needed to test the accuracy;
2, if the concentration of pollutants is very high, if there is a leak, then you need the range of TVOC sensor 0-10000 ppm. TVOC sensor;
3, when testing outdoor air, TVOC is usually recommended 0-50 ppm or 0-200 ppm sensor. If a pollution source is detected, a 0.0-2000 ppm sensor is generally recommended.
Portable VOC gas detector applications:
1、Petrochemical industry, industrial production, smelting and forging, electric power, coal mine, tunnel engineering, environmental monitoring, sewage treatment;
2 Biopharmaceuticals, home environmental protection, animal husbandry, greenhouse cultivation, warehousing and logistics, brewing and fermentation, agricultural production;
3, fire, gas, construction, municipal enterprises, school laboratories, research centers.
