Pre-use Routine Check for Large Tool Microscopes

① For instrument installation and operation, inspect the surrounding environment. Check whether the power supply, voltage, lamp light source, ground wire, etc. are correctly and firmly connected and comply with requirements.

② Inspection of moving performance of major instrument components: Visually inspect and manually test the instrument worktable, longitudinal and cross slide guideways, micrometers, lifting movement of the microscope arm bracket guideway, rotating parts of the protractor and other components. It shall be verified that the structural installation is reliable, positioning is accurate, operation is smooth and in good condition, with no looseness, jamming or sudden jumping.

③ Inspection of the goniometer eyepiece a. Zero-point inspection of the goniometer eyepiece: When the goniometric microscope is at zero position, the horizontal line of the reticle in the goniometer eyepiece shall be parallel to the moving direction of the X-axis slide, and the deviation shall not exceed 6 arcminutes.

Inspection method: Place a knife-edge square on the instrument worktable. Raise and lower the microscope to obtain a clear image of the knife edge in the eyepiece field of view. Adjust the worktable so that the long knife-edge image of the square is parallel to the moving direction of the X-axis slide. Rotate the reticle to align its horizontal line with the long knife-edge image of the square. Check whether the angle reading of the microscope is zero and record its deviation. The deviation shall not exceed 6 arcminutes.

b. Inspection of the coincidence between the crosshair intersection of the goniometer eyepiece and its rotation center

Inspection method: Place a cross reticle plate on the instrument worktable. Adjust the instrument to form a sharp image of the cross lines on the reticle of the goniometer eyepiece, and align the horizontal line image of the cross reticle plate with the horizontal line on the eyepiece reticle. Move the longitudinal and cross slides to overlap the two crosshair intersections. Then rotate the reticle to any position and observe the alignment of the two crosshair intersections; their coincidence shall have no obvious change.

④ Inspection of perpendicularity between the guideway direction of the microscope arm pillar and the surface of the worktable
