Pre-operation Routine Check for Large Tool Microscopes
Strict inspection and commissioning are carried out at every stage of instrument production and before factory delivery. However, affected by transportation, vibration, temperature changes, environmental variations and other factors, the instrument performance may change. It is essential to perform necessary inspection and commissioning before use. Main inspection items are listed below:
① Instrument installation and environment: Inspect the safety of the surrounding environment. Verify that the power supply, voltage, lamp light source and ground wire are correctly and firmly connected and meet specifications.
② Inspection of moving performance for major components: Visually examine and manually test the instrument worktable, longitudinal and cross slide guideways, micrometers, lifting movement of the microscope arm bracket guideway, rotation of the protractor and other parts. Confirm that the assembly is reliable, positioned accurately, and operates smoothly without looseness, jamming or sudden jumping.
③ Inspection of the goniometer eyepiece a. Zero-point inspection of the goniometer eyepiece: When the goniometric microscope is set to zero, the horizontal line of the reticle in the goniometer eyepiece shall be parallel to the moving direction of the X-axis slide, and the deviation shall not exceed 6 arcminutes.
Inspection method: Place a knife-edge square on the instrument worktable. Raise and lower the microscope until a clear image of the knife edge appears in the eyepiece field of view. Adjust the worktable so that the long knife-edge image of the right angle runs parallel to the travel direction of the X-axis slide. Rotate the crosshair reticle to align its horizontal line with the long knife-edge image. Check whether the angle reading on the microscope is zero and record the deviation, which shall not exceed 6 arcminutes.
b. Inspection for coincidence between the intersection of crosshairs in the goniometer eyepiece and its rotation center
Inspection method: Place a cross reticle plate on the instrument worktable. Adjust the instrument to project a sharp image of the cross lines onto the reticle of the goniometer eyepiece, and align the horizontal line of the cross reticle plate with the horizontal line on the eyepiece reticle. Move the longitudinal and cross slides to overlap the two crosshair intersections. Rotate the reticle plate to any position and observe the coincidence state of the two crosshair intersections; their coincidence shall show no obvious change.
④ Inspection of perpendicularity between the guideway direction of the microscope arm pillar and the worktable surface
