Precautions for Handheld Laser Rangefinders in Building Measurement
Measuring buildings has always been a task of great concern and heavy workload for housing management authorities. The building survey plan is directly attached to the property ownership certificate and carries legal validity. This work not only serves residents directly but also has a direct bearing on their economic interests, so the control of measurement errors in building surveying is particularly important.
Traditionally, leather tapes or steel tape measures are used to measure construction area and usable area. Although these tools can meet basic requirements, they produce relatively large errors for long-distance measurement, floor height measurement and measurements at hard-to-reach locations. They also involve high labor intensity and cumbersome workflows. With the rapid development of high and new technologies, such primitive and traditional measurement methods clearly fail to meet the speed and efficiency requirements of today's information society.
For this reason, two Jintaike handheld laser rangefinders were introduced. After several months of practical use, it is generally recognized that this instrument is especially suitable for measuring buildings with complex structures, mid-to-high rise buildings and long-distance measurement scenarios. It is easy to operate and delivers accurate measurement data (with 3 mm precision). It improves work efficiency through non-contact measurement. It completely replaces the method of measuring buildings with leather or steel tape measures, reduces surveying errors and guarantees the accuracy of area calculation. The measurement results are more convincing for property owners.
Of course, the instrument still has aspects to be improved. For example, long-distance targets are difficult to see under strong sunlight, requiring accessories such as telescopes. In addition, calibrating the spirit level bubble for each measurement is labor-intensive; automatic calibration would be ideal. All in all, laser rangefinders are well received by users.
