Precautions for use:
1. When the instrument is used for the first time, the gear measurement can be changed according to the empirical range value of wood moisture, which gear has the smallest error, and the subsequent measurement will be in this gear.
2. If the moisture content of the wood to be measured is unknown, the gear can be determined as follows:
First, take the wood samples with the average moisture content, measure the moisture with gears 1-7 of the instrument, and record the measured values of each gear. Immediately after the samples were sent to an oven, the moisture content was determined by oven drying. Then compared with the average value of the 7 groups, which gear is the closest to the measured value, and then the measurement will be fixed at this gear. If the above measurement is performed unconditionally, it is usually recommended to perform the measurement on the 5th gear. However, attention should be paid to the measurement error caused by this.
3. Moisture is not consistent in the measured object, so the water content in different positions of the same measured object will be different, so the measured results will be different.
4. The insertion depth of the stylus directly affects the measurement results. In general, the deeper the insertion, the higher the measured moisture value, so please pay attention to the consistency of the insertion depth of the stylus.
5. If the instrument is not used for a long time, please remove the battery to prevent the instrument from being damaged due to battery leakage.
