Measurement preparation
(1) Loading the battery
Open the battery back cover and insert a 9V battery.
(2) Change the battery
When the voltage of the battery is lower than the operating voltage, the "BAT" symbol will appear. At this point, a new battery should be replaced.
Calibration process
(1) Set to the following keys and function switches.
Display: dB, A, Hi or Lo, F;
Function: A-sound level frequency weighting;
Response time: FAST;
Range level: 30 to 100dB(Lo) or 60 to 130dB(Hi);
Measurement method: Exit the maximum value hold and data hold functions.
(2) Carefully insert the microphone into the acoustic calibrator.
(3) Open the battery cover, take out the battery, and calibrate with a small screwdriver.
The meter has been calibrated before shipment, and the re-calibration cycle is recommended: 1 year.
