Principle and application of pump-suction gas detector
When using gas detectors, we often encounter various types of instruments with different detection principles. Among them, pump suction gas detectors are widely used. However, due to users' insufficient knowledge and experience in gas detection, they do not know how to use or maintain pump suction gas detection alarms. Today, we will explain the principle and application of pump suction gas detectors to you.
Detection principle of pump suction gas detector
The working principle of pump suction gas detector and diffusion gas detector is the same. The sample gas is detected by the sensor of the instrument, and then converted into corresponding values through circuit amplification and display on the screen. Catalytic combustion sensors are commonly used for combustible gases, and electrochemical sensors are commonly used for toxic gases.
The pump suction gas detector is equipped with a small air pump in the instrument. Its working mode is that the power supply drives the air pump to extract and sample the gas in the test area, and then sends the sample gas into the instrument for detection.
Advantages and disadvantages of pump suction gas detector
The advantages of a pump suction gas detector are: fast detection speed, remote measurement of hazardous areas, maintenance of personnel safety, and the same as a diffusion gas detector.
The disadvantage is that the price is relatively expensive.
Application of pump suction gas detector
Pump suction gas detectors are often used in special situations, such as detecting gas concentration in tunnels, pipelines, sewers, tanks, sealed containers, etc. that are not suitable for people to enter or are difficult to enter. Common ones include: pump suction oxygen detector, pump suction hydrogen sulfide detector, pump suction chlorine detector, pump suction hydrogen chloride detector, pump suction combustible gas detector, etc.
