Principles and selection criteria for hazardous and dangerous gas detectors

The core part of the toxic gas detector is the sensor. The sensor of the toxic gas detector is an electrochemical sensor. The lifetime of electrochemical sensors in air is typically two years. Some models of individual manufacturers can last three years or even longer. , some only a year and a half or less. Unless otherwise specified, the service life of imported electrochemical sensors is two years.

Toxic gas detector is a special safety gas environmental sanitation detector, which is used to detect the toxic gas content in the air in chemical workplaces or equipment, and alarm when the limit value is exceeded. Hazardous chemicals should strengthen safety management, improve safety measures, and control hidden dangers of accidents. However, it is impossible to be absolutely safe, and mistakes will still happen. Therefore, it is very necessary to detect and alarm the hidden dangers of accidents, and detect and alarm all toxic gases or liquids (steams) in the hazardous chemical industry. It is of great significance to avoid and control accidents.

Toxic and harmful gas detector is a special safety and health detector, which is used to detect flammable or toxic gas and vapor content in the air of chemical workplaces or inside equipment, and alarm when the limit value is exceeded.

Toxic and harmful gas detector selection principles:

1. Clarify the purpose of testing and select the type of instrument. The detection of harmful gases generally has two purposes. The first is to detect explosions, and the second is to detect poisonous gases. The so-called explosion test is to detect the content of combustible gas in dangerous places, and alarm when it exceeds the standard, so as to avoid explosion accidents; the poison test is to detect the content of toxic gas in dangerous places, and alarm when it exceeds the standard, so as to avoid staff poisoning.

2. Clarify the purpose of testing and select the type of instrument. If long-term leak detection is carried out in the production or storage location, fixed detection alarms should be used; other maintenance detection, emergency detection, entry detection and patrol detection, etc., should use portable instruments.

3. Determine the test object and select the best instrument model. It should be noted that the detection principle of the instrument should adapt to the requirements of the detection environment. (There is a problem with adapting to the test and detection environment)
