1. This standard specifies a simple method for determining the A sound power level of a sound source (including equipment, machinery, components or parts) using a standard sound source. Measure the sound pressure level generated by the measured sound source and the standard sound source at the specified measuring point, and the sound power level of the measured sound source is obtained from the measured sound pressure level through environmental correction. The environmental correction is obtained by calculating the calibration value of the sound power level of the standard sound source and the measured sound pressure level.
2. The data obtained by the methods specified in this standard may be used for the following purposes:
a) Evaluate the noise of the equipment with A sound power level;
b) Comparison of the noise of the same type of equipment;
c) Comparison of noise of different types of equipment.
3. Test environment
Can be installed indoors or outdoors without restrictions, there can be - one or more reflective surfaces or reflective objects near the sound source.
4. Type of sound source
It is suitable for radiating steady-state noise of broadband, narrow-band, discrete frequencies and their composite sounds, as well as non-steady-state noise except for bursts with a repetition rate less than five times per second.
