Routine Maintenance and Care of Mangofer Optical Metallurgical Microscopes

① The laboratory shall meet three protection requirements: anti-vibration (keep away from vibration sources), moisture-proof (use air conditioners and dryers), dust-proof (lay floor panels on the ground). Power supply: 220V±10%, 50Hz; temperature: 0℃-40℃.

② When focusing, take care not to let the objective lens touch the specimen to avoid scratching the lens.

③ Do not switch the objective lens when the center of the round hole on the stage spacer deviates far from the center of the objective lens, so as to prevent scratching the objective.

④ Avoid sudden large fluctuations in brightness adjustment. Excessive brightness shortens bulb service life and harms eyesight.

⑤ Perform all function switching operations gently and completely into position.

⑥ Turn the brightness to the minimum value before powering off.

⑦ Non-professional personnel shall not adjust the illumination system (filament lamp position), otherwise the imaging quality will be affected.

⑧ Be careful of high temperature when replacing the halogen lamp to prevent burns. Do not touch the glass envelope of the halogen lamp directly with bare hands.

⑨ When the microscope is powered off and not in use, lower the objective lens to its lowest position via the focusing mechanism.

⑩ Do not cover the dust cover immediately after shutdown. Wait for the instrument to cool down before covering it, and pay attention to fire prevention.

⑪ Store optical components that are not frequently used in a desiccator.

⑫ Non-professional personnel shall not attempt to clean objective lenses or other optical components. The eyepiece may be wiped with absorbent cotton swabs dipped in a 3:7 mixed solution (excess liquid squeezed out). Do not use other liquids to avoid damaging the eyepiece.
